In My Father’s House
In My Father’s House is a direct revelation of God being an ever-present help throughout the struggles life brings upon even the youngest child. The favor of God, coupled with his covering, is exhibited throughout the childhood of this young girl and the numerous struggles she encountered while being brought up in the home of an individual who would later become her greatest stepping stone and becoming a teenage mother, unaware of what destiny had lying in wait for her. God not only shielded her life but also the lives of her entire family. This protection is made evident through the outcome of God fulfilling a promise of the family’s life of “latter becoming greater!” My Father’s House will offer peace to the brokenhearted and assurance that God is able to move mountains, especially during unforeseen times. This book is for the young as well as old and teen mothers who believe hope is nowhere in sight (people who society has counted out).
Behind The Veil
Life is unpredictable. Love is complicated. But change is possible if you’re willing to do the work. Behind the Veil is a heart-wrenching story about love, marriage, betrayal, addiction, and suffering. Stacey is a successful woman trapped by the image of success. Darrel is a strong man battling his own demons in private. They are models of hope in their community but carrying pain in their hearts. Together, they teach us that marriage won’t heal what you refuse to reveal, and love won’t fix what lust broke. If you’ve ever had to maintain a public image while harboring private pain, this is the book for you. If you’re contemplating the next steps for your relationship, this is the book for you. If your life has taken an unexpected turn, and you’re trying to figure out what to do next, Behind the Veil will help you to confront your personal demons. Author Mya Cullins creates realistic characters that are easy to identify with. Chapter by chapter, Cullins will introduce you to a journey of honesty and transparency. By the end of this book, you will see yourself. You will learn who you are again. You will thrive, and you will recover.
Behind The Veil II
When we last left Stacey, she was trying to save her family. Her marriage and her way of life. She found that she and her husband were only human, but it was hard to stick to the belief that what God had brought together couldn’t be torn apart. However, did God really bring them together, or were her feelings casting doubt on God’s promise? Stacey learned the hard way of what happens when we do not slow down for discernment. We all have been Stacey at some point. We have been too busy to slow down and end up losing focus on the things that should matter to us. We end up leaving ourselves open to the attacks that the enemy throws at us. Ending the story there would mean that we should be without hope. Just because a mirror is broken doesn’t mean that it can’t be used. The pieces can be formed into something new. Jesus took pieces of broken bread and fed it to a large crowd. Stacey had to learn that there was still more to her life despite her brokenness. The same applies to you. You may have been broken, but your life isn’t over. The exposure caused by brokenness is unavoidable. However, you can’t always see the danger hidden in the jar unless it’s knocked over. If problems are never addressed, then they can never be repaired. Most problems are complex. They are not “one-and-done” situations. They are full layers that need to be peeled back again and again in order to find a true solution. If we don’t clean houses and replace what once harmed us with things that help us, then we find ourselves being in positions worse off than the first time. Those lusts will become more powerful, the impulses stronger, and we will be weaker. It is my continued prayer that you, as a reader, will overcome the obstacles that you encounter in life. As changes come your way, be like bamboo, flex, but don’t break. By chance, if you do, show yourself grace and let God create something new in you with the pieces. You are not a slave to your mistakes. You are more than your past. It will be hard to let go of some of the people you love who are too toxic for you to hold on to. Some of those people may bless you and leave you on your own. Others will do whatever they can to keep you in their grip. Learn to listen to the power that is within you and find the strength to walk away. Those who God places in your life to support you will be there for however many seasons He allows. Now that you have gone beyond the Veil, you will see some truths that are hard to swallow. The blessing in that is people will no longer be able to lie to you about what you have been exposed to. Be encouraged; there is peace in pushing past the pain.
A Mother’s Roar
A Mother’s Roar is a riveting dialogue on motherhood in the face of loss and grief. After the tragic murder of her son Nygil, Dr. Mya Cullins made it her mission to help other mothers in their grieving. Poignant and transparent, A Mother’s Roar seeks to get to the very root of a mother’s pain and foster a blueprint for her healing. The mission of A Mother’s Roar is to leave the reader empowered and serve as a reminder that there is still a purpose to their life. No matter if you are the one grieving or seeking to help someone who is grieving, this book is an incredible tool for those on their healing journey. Dr. Cullins’ storytelling is raw, relatable, and resonating, as well as a testament to building a legacy in memory of your child.
